605
Series - roving for spray-up
605
Series roving
consists of continuous E-CR glass
fibers
manufactured by the direct
draw process. The roving is designed
specifically for processing by the
spray-up
technique.
605 Series spray-up roving is
treated with a silane sizing system for excellent performance
with polyester
and vinyl ester
resin systems.
605 Series spray-up
roving is a multi-end roving gathered into a single strand and wrapped into a
cylindrical package (doff) without twist. It is made from fine diameter
filaments for superior choppability and wet-out performance.
605 Series spray-up
roving is
available in two different packaging types:
Closed Top Cartons (CTC) or Creel
Packs (CRL).
605 Series spray-up
roving is designed to:
-
Provide optimum performance in
both hand operated and machine operated chopper gun systems.
-
Display excellent unwinding and
run ability characteristics.
-
Possess superior resistance to
tangling, fuzz and static electricity.
-
Evenly disperse from the chopper
rollers, forming a consistent, uniform and random laminate.
-
Display fast wet out in
polyester/vinylester resin types, including highly filled resin systems.
-
Demonstrate excellent roll out
and conformability in a wide variety of resin systems.
-
Develop excellent laminate
stiffness and strength properties.
605 Series spray-up
roving has superior strength, stiffness, corrosion resistance and weather resistance
properties.
It can be used in all applications where the superior performance
of 'E' glass reinforcement is desired.
